Own project, rebuilt on made-up data

The carrier's invoice, checked against what you actually shipped.

In my job I built a check for the parcel carrier's monthly invoice. Every line is matched to the company's own shipping record: was it sent at all, was it billed once, was the weight the one we declared, were the surcharges agreed. Here is the same check on an invented month.

A new invoice is generated in your browser each time. The carrier, the waybills and the amounts are invented.

About 700 shipments, the agreed rate card, and a handful of planted problems.

What the real version did.

The same five rules on the real monthly invoice and the real shipping export. The disputed lines went into one file for the carrier, with the waybill numbers, so the credit note could be checked line by line when it came back.

If a carrier invoice lands on your desk every month and nobody checks it line by line, the first project is this check on one of your past invoices, from €400. Send me the column headers ›
